Fred was a long time photography lover, taking his “Conley” camera with him everywhere he went. He was able to capture genuine moments in history of a small town developing in the time of war and great change. Fred Erskine photography features daily activities of Jacksonport’s residents, family outings, The Great War and the Jacksonport landscape.
The Kramer team had a great time pouring over the photography, some over a hundred years old. Some photos seemed very normal at first, but closer inspection revealed surprising results. One of the team favorites is what we call the “Big Splash”. Notice the young man in the photo below, standing against the rocks awaiting the spray off Lake Michigan. Amazing.
