Jacksonport Historical Society
The Jacksonport Historical Society of Door County approached Kramer with the idea of creating a book to honor one of their more prominent figures in Jacksonport history, Fred Erskine. The book documents Fred’s daily life from the turn of the century, WWI and through almost a century of life.
We had the honor of working not only with Fred’s daughter, but also his original photographs, many from the early 1900s. Sifting through the hundreds of photographs, it was hard to contain the feeling of being a part of something, well, historic.
Early in the process of planning for the book, The Historical Society of Jacksonport decided to print in only one color, black. Printing in one color ended up delivering a powerful presentation. We think Fred would enjoy the read.
